Oasis of peace in the middle of hectic Kathmandu
Hotel Visit Nepal feels like an oasis of peace in the
middle of hectic Kathmandu, in the centre of Thamel. In
a back-and forth journey through Nepal, I came back
there every time I was in Kathmandu again, and at a
certain point, had the feeling of coming home again. The
room was basic but clean and very good value. The staff
was helpful, welcoming 24 hrs a day, kind and very
reliable. If I ever visit Nepal again, I am sure to
visit Visit Nepal!

Arriving in Kathmandu’s Thamel district can be a
stunting experience for a traveler. You step out of your
taxi on to the street and suddenly you are surrounded by
people offering you a cheap room at good price. What to

but you don’t want to get ripped off! You could waste a
whole day searching-well I will save you the bother. I

I stayed at Hotel visit Nepal for 10 days and I would
recommend it enthusiastically as a place to base

surrounding areas. The rooms are light, clean and
spacious, the staffs are helpful and friendly and the
location is great. Set down a quietest street in north
Thamel, staying at Hotel Visit Nepal you get the
benefits of a central location without going to sleep
every night to the sound of the latest rock corner
band!. So don’t waste time in Nepal- just head to ‘Z’

city!

Violeta,
Soy Violeta, una chica española y con mis 5 amigas:
Montse, Alba, Cristina, Rebeca y Lourdes vinimos a parar
al céntrico y agradable hotel Visit Nepal. Estamos

To All trekkers in Katmandu,
One of the best kept secrets in Katmandu is the
Visit Nepal Hotel. What a wonderful surprise. On a quiet
side street just 50 meters from the main street in
Thamel is this gem. Run by Mr.Parashuram Simkhada and
his devoted staff, it really is value for what you are
getting. Clean rooms, with attached bathrooms and hot
water, at very reasonable prices.
An extra prize thrown is a view of the Himalayan you
don’t even have to go to the roof to see it.
So do yourselves a favor. When in Katmandu it is the
Visit Nepal hotel.

Perfect 10-days stay
I stayed here (Hotel Visit Nepal) nine nights because I
enjoyed it so much. Friendly staff, loveable owner that
speaks good English, and right in the heart of Thamel,
the liveliest neighborhood in Kathmandu. The owner is a
great proponent of village tourism and can easily
connect you with unique experiences where you will get
to tour the real Nepal.
Also, they have sufficient information for all Himalayan
tours, including inexpensive mountain flights. When I
come back in the future, I will stay here, no doubt.

Warm and Friendly!
I never expected such a personal touch from an owner
of a hotel. We were met by Parashuram (PR) at the
airport and his personal touch continued throughout our
stay. After two weeks of working in a Tibetan refugee
village and trekking a bit, we just arrived back for one
night before leaving for home and were immediately
treated to tea. His staff is equally friendly and
helpful. The rooms are clean, the price is very fair,
and the location is ideal. Everything you need is right
outside the door.
Working with PR to arrange our stay was very easy. He
immediately responded to our emails and was very
accommodating. If you are looking for the personal
touch, Hotel Visit Nepal is the place!

An excellent week stay!
Hotel Visit Nepal was the warmest and friendliest
place that we stayed in on our round the world trip. The
owner, Mr. Simkhada, graciously met us at the airport as
part of our week booking and our flight was an hour
delayed. Nonetheless, he waited until we came into the
Kathmandu bustle and collected us with a big smile and
gave us tea immediately upon arrival at the hotel. The
hotel staffs, especially the two young men on 24/7, were
especially sweet and tended any request as fast as they
could- also providing thoughtful conversation and
explanations of the holiday season underway when we
arrived. The hotel is on side street, steps off the main
street in Thamel, which is nicer. We were on the 4th
floor with a wide view of the mountains. Next to the
hotel is a laundry, tea and snack shop, & money changer.
At the end of the street, one minute walk away, is an
excellent Nepali restaurant where we ate thali every
night, also with friendly service.

will definitely tell people about your hotel
I am happy & healthy, living in Amsterdam and
working with poor children here. It was very nice to be
reunited with my friends and family after all those
months of traveling, but sometimes I really miss Nepal
and all the wonderful people I met there! Thank you very
much for the warm welcome in your hotel Visit Nepal. I
will definitely tell people about your hotel.
Have a good day and greetings to all the lovely people
in your hotel!

Safe & Welcoming
I stayed at Hotel Visit Nepal for about 2 months
while my volunteering in Nepal. After moving from one
place to another the first month of my stay in Nepal I
finally felt I found my temporary "home." The hotel is
located in a safe area in Thamel, secure and very
welcoming. The fact that my room was clean, insect less,
with a hot water and TV felt like a luxury which I
definitely did not expect to have while in Kathmandu.
I am very grateful I found this place early on during my
stay in Nepal; it was just what I needed - comfortable
place to go back to every night, after spending a day
working on my stories.

A place of choice
I
arrived at Hotel Visit Nepal on a late Saturday
afternoon. Parashuram (hotel manager) kindly met
me in one of the busy streets of Thamel and
escorted me to the hotel. The rooms are very
clean, safe, all the staff are helpful, free WI
FI connection and excellent location (just off
the main road of Thamel).
I am happy to say that Parashuram and his staff
at all times answered all of my queries and
questions about my stay in Nepal. in addition,
the hotel manager was at all time very
informative for all kinds of tourism services in
Nepal and provided me with good information that
aided my stay in thamel. I would highly
recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay
Thamel and I am sure they will feel welcome and
enjoy there time here.
